Devil’s Botany Distillery is celebrating International Absinthe Day (5th March 2025) by partnering with Mind CHWF across two venues in Leyton and Hackney to support mental health initiatives in their local communities. 

The UK’s first dedicated absinthe distillery, Devil’s Botany, recently launched a new tasting room at its location in Leyton, East London. The Devil’s Botany Distillery tasting room is open on Saturdays 2pm-9pm and is located at 16a Heybridge Way, London, E10 7NQ in Leyton, Waltham Forest.

To celebrate International Absinthe Day (5th March) Devil’s Botany Distillery is partnering with the local charity Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest (Mind CHWF) to raise money for mental health support in their community. Devil’s Botany Distillery will be donating £1 to Mind CHWF for every Devil’s Botany cocktail sold from the Tasting Room menu during the month of March 2025.

The distillery's new tasting room offers a place for curious imbibers to learn about how absinthe is made, discover the many ways it can be enjoyed and toast to the exciting rise of the green fairy in the UK. Devil’s Botany Distillery will feature a rotating menu of absinthe cocktails using their award-winning range of botanical spirits distilled in Leyton, East London. Cocktails include Naked & Infamous (Devil’s Botany London Absinthe, Aperol, Strega Liqueur & lime juice), Hellfire Mule (Devil’s Botany Absinthe Regalis, whisky, lime juice & ginger beer)Chocolate Sazerac (Devil’s Botany Chocolate Absinthe Liqueur, Burnt Faith Brandy, Peychaud’s Bitter’s & sugar), and Absinthe Piña Colada (Devil’s Botany Absinthe Regalis, coconut cream & pineapple juice).  

Extending their fundraising initiatives at their sister bar in Hackney as well, Devil’s Botany will also be donating £1 to Mind CHWF for every Devil’s Botany cocktail sold at The Absinthe Parlour at The Last Tuesday Society on Mare Street (11 Mare Street London E8 4RP).

Devil’s Botany Distillery and Mind CHWF will also be hosting a programme of free mental health and wellness events for those working in the hospitality industry, such as gong and meditation sessions, stress management and food and mood workshops at Devil’s Botany Distillery in Leyton and The Absinthe Parlour in Hackney. Anyone working in hospitality is invited to attend the events by registering via Eventbrite and making a £5 donation to Mind CHWF.
