Devil's Botany Absinthe Regalis is inspired by the discovery of a 1719 elixir distilled by apothecaries in London. Nearly a century before the first absinthe distilleries opened elsewhere in the world, London’s dram-drinkers were already enjoying their own locally distilled absinthe. Praised for its revitalising flavour, this noble aperitif has been found most effective in raising the spirits for over 300 years.

Unleash a Taste of History

Complex & deeply aromatic, the unmistakable trinity of grand wormwood with green anise & fennel seed is followed by a delightful warmth from cardamom, cinnamon & nutmeg. An intoxicating combination of herbs and spices live on the palate long after each sip with a distinct creamy and tongue-numbing mouthfeel. The appearance is vibrant emerald and clear from the bottle. Essential oils from green anise and fennel seed will become visible as diluted, resulting in a beautifully opaque glass of absinthe.

Absinthe is a botanical spirit distilled with grand wormwood, green anise and fennel seed, also known as the holy trinity of absinthe. In addition to these three, each distiller can use their own blend of botanicals to achieve the unique flavour profile they are after.

Traditional absinthe is a spirit, not a liqueur. No sugar should be added when bottled.

All distilled absinthes start clear. In order to create a traditional green style of absinthe, this distillate is then infused with a new mix of botanicals to get its natural colour from chlorophyll.

Devil’s Botany Absinthe Regalis is perfectly served over ice with 1 part absinthe to 2-3 parts still or sparkling water. The addition of sugar is optional.

Devil's Botany Absinthe Regalis works incredibly well with the traditional absinthe fountain, but this is not required.

Instead, add 35ML Absinthe Regalis and a pinch of sugar or 10ML simple syrup to a rocks glass filled with ice. Stir until the absinthe is fully opaque. Top with fresh ice and enjoy!

Absinthe was banned for nearly a century in many countries around the world. It is the only spirit ever singled out in a prohibition of this kind.

It was never made illegal in the UK, which meant that many of the great classic cocktails to come from Britain during the 1920s and 30s called for absinthe in their recipes.

Modern science finally caught up and disproved the 19th century theories that originally had it banned and regulations were changed around the world to finally make absinthe legal again.

Devil’s Botany Absinthe Regalis is copper pot distilled with premium British wheat spirit and 22 botanicals sourced from around the world, including Grand Wormwood, Green Anise, Fennel Seed, Sage, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Cardamom, Galangal and Devil’s Claw Root. It is naturally coloured during a second maceration process post-distillation.

Its vibrant green colour is achieved from botanicals that can be found growing wild across Britain, such as milk thistle and white dead nettle.

Made with 100% natural ingredients. No sugar added. Vegan friendly. No additives. No artificial colouring.

Absinthe is not and never was hallucinogenic.
